CAPTAIN’S MESSAGE
The pride one feels when asked to represent your golf club as their Captain is a wonderful feeling, so then to be given the remarkable honour of being Captain of this Society is incredible. Golf has given many of us so many new friendships and this opportunity to make even more, is one which I will treasure. For this privilege to be bestowed on West Lancashire in our 150th year will greatly enhance our celebrations.
I would like to thank The Past Captains of the society for selecting me and showing such warm support already after only a short time in my tenure. I enjoyed 6 years on the committee, and I very much look forward to working with such a dedicated and professional team again. It was a real insight into how much preparation and dedication goes into the planning of all the events, so that we can all turn up and simply enjoy them.
I have already savored a number of salvers and days out with The Kingsmen, our 2023 Captains, who I can already see will continue the traditions and will represent our Society with the pride we all felt when first becoming Captains.
May I wish you all an enjoyable and healthy golf season and I look forward to seeing many of you at The Forest of Arden for The Autumn Meeting and at many other events during the year.
